A rarer Chalet basket

This style is one of the lesser seen Chalet “basket” forms - note the base shape is not a common one for Chalet. However, it is not unique to this basket as it it was also used on a rarer style of a Chalet “gondola” center piece.

To date, we have only seen this style of basket in a 12” height. We have seen it in the full range of the Chalet colour palette. Even less common, we have seen it in the blue/green 2 tone. As well as cranberry and purple as nothing ever went to waste at Chalet. At present, we have not found it in uranium. They are found with a variety of markings. The olive basket below retains the small gold “Chalet Lead Crystal” label while all the others shown here are etched “Chalet Canada.’

This very rare 2 tone is from the collection of 50 Shades member Dwain Robertson.

This rare purple version from the collection of 50 Shades member Kevin Hall.
